Welcome!  I’m excited to be a part of the SWMS family as a member of the 7 silver team.  This will be my eighth year teaching 7th grade world history along with other social studies related extension courses such as mythology.  

I’m (almost) a Warren County native.  I grew up in Plano and was a Warren County School’s student from kindergarten to graduation.  After graduating from Greenwood, I went to the University of Kentucky and earned BAs in History and in Political Science.  I went on to complete UK’s MIC program to earn my MA in Secondary Social Studies Education.  

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I have four sons – the oldest is pursuing his PhD at the University of Louisville, the middle two are attending UK, and the youngest is a high school sophomore.  When we have a lot of free time, family trips are the best!
