• Students participate in FREE group lessons during the school day, once a week for twenty-five minutes. Fourth and fifth grade orchestra students and fifth grade band students receive an additional ensemble class during one recess.

• These additional band or orchestra rehearsals occur during the year in a big group setting allowing students to gain experience playing in an ensemble where there are multiple parts being played at the same time.  These rehearsals include all students taking lessons for that grade.

RENTALS

• Parents are free to choose their own rental company.  However, Leonards Music and David French Music are the two vendors approved by the music department. They will deliver instruments and make repairs directly to your child's school.  Sax and Clarinet students should get a box of 10 reeds size 2.5 and we recommend a music stand for all students.

• If you already own an instrument or are considering buying your own online, please contact the instrumental teacher from your elementary school to let them know before you make the purchase.  There are many instruments for sale that are not good quality and we want your student to start out right.

• Make sure you order the Premier Performance Book 1 for BAND or Orchestra Expressions Book 1 for ORCHESTRA

• Instruments, lesson books, and music stands can be delivered to your child's elementary school so make sure to chose that option when renting online.
