The Waltham Public Schools Private Lesson Program was created in 2010 to provide quality music instruction at convenient locations at a reasonable cost to WPS students. Private lessons are offered for beginners starting as early as grade one and continue with private lessons through grade 12.

Our Lessons are scheduled after school at the various school buildings in Waltham. After registering, you are connected to one of our 25 professional musicians/teachers. The program supports the instrumental and choral programs within the Performing Arts Programs that occur during the school day and our Honors Band and Orchestra programs after school.
Participation in this program develops the essential knowledge and skills that enable full participation in the various music ensembles scheduled during the school day for our band and orchestra students. Our program supplements the learning during the school day ensembles and provides your child with a specialist on their instrument to enhance their learning. This helps to establish a foundation for a lifetime of music participation and enjoyment.
