Appointment of Community Liaison
On May 26, 2020 Mayor McCarthy asked for a volunteer to serve as the community liaison for the Waltham High School Building Project. On June 8, 2020 the Mayor appointed William (Bill) Hanley to this position. As a non-voting participant, Mr. Hanley will have a seat at the table in order to gather information and updates on the project that he can share with residents, and to also bring forward to the Building Committee and architects, community concerns and questions. A community liaison from the construction management company will also work with Mr. Hanley during the project to provide updates to the community. After successfully serving in this capacity for several months Mr. Hanley retired from his position as the neighborhood/community liaison.

The MSBA collaborates with municipalities to equitably invest in schools across the Commonwealth by finding the right-sized, most fiscally responsible and educationally appropriate solutions to create a safe, sound, and sustainable learning environment.
