Hello New Friends!!!

I am so excited to get to know you all this school year. In the mean time here is a little bit more about me!

My name is Caitlin Madsen and this is my third year teaching 5th grade at Northeast Elementary school.

I love teaching 5th grade because 5th grade was my favorite year of school growing up too! Fifth grade is the best because we are finally old enough, responsible enough, and mature enough to do really cool projects that younger kids wouldn't even dream of!

When I am not busy at school, I also love to go hiking with my dog, Freya, and my husband Kyle. I also love to read good books and adore traveling all over the world.

This summer I didn't get to travel too far, but I did have a blast hiking to the Appalachian trail, camping in Mohawk State Park, and visiting the Berkshires. It was really cool to see so much of Massachusetts this summer, because I have only lived here for 3 years. I am from Montana originally! That's way back west.
