Our Bridges curriculum program is supplemented by ST Math, a gamified visual instructional program that leverages the brain's innate spatial-temporal reasoning ability to solve mathematical problems. Be sure to ask your child about their progress with Jiji, the beloved penguin. Students help JiJi overcome obstacles by solving math puzzles - and they associate JiJi with the thrill of challenge and success. JiJi crosses the screen every time a student demonstrates understanding of a math concept, leading the student to the next challenging puzzle.

In addition to working on ST Math in school, your child can choose to continue their grade level journey with Jiji at home. However, it is imperative that any student doing ST Math at home does so completely independently, without help from others. Please see the Family Guide below for further guidance. Students in K-1 are expected to complete about 60 minutes/40+ puzzles each week, and students in Grades 2-5 are expected to complete about 90 minutes/60+ puzzles each week. Ask your child to show you their weekly progress on their dashboard. Time is alloted in school, but minutes and puzzles completed at home will count toward each week's totals and journey completion. If you encounter an ST Math technical difficulty or puzzle challenge at home, do not hesitate to contact support directly.

To Log In on an iPad at Home: You no longer use an app with the new version of the game. Just launch Safari and have your child click on the ST Math button (like the one to the left) on our Family Math Site or School's Student Portal page's ST Math button as usual.

Inside the PDF is a collection of tips for using ST Math online at home, in English and Spanish. including a printable poster of key facilitating questions (p.5-6) you can ask if your child gets stuck. You can also print the time and puzzles poster for your child's work area at home. Have them log in and show you their progress in time and puzzles each week.
