Google Classroom will be used for class announcements and to collect all written assignments.
The WHS Choirs Website will be used to access practice tracks and festival audition material.
Remind is a communication service used to send out deadline reminder announcements and various links to practice tracks and Google Documents that require student participation. It is strongly encouraged that Remind be downloaded on each students’ mobile device, however it is not required. SmartMusic is an online platform that the WHS Choruses use for in-class sectional rehearsals. Students will also have the opportunity to "sign out" a SmartMusic account for their own individual practice.
Sight Reading Factory is an online, interactive, resource for improving individual sight-reading skills. Students will be given an account, free of charge, to use for homework assignments and assessments throughout the entire school year. Students also have the ability to customize and generate unlimited sight-reading examples to practice this essential skill independently.
Extra Help will be available before and after school, as well as during periods 4, 5, and 6 if Ms. Nutting is available. Students must arrange an appointment with Ms. Nutting in advance.
Practice Time Students may use the music department practice rooms during their study periods for practicing and recording assessments. Students must ask for a study hall pass from Ms. Nutting at the beginning of the school day. Students must be working diligently throughout the period to maintain this privilege.
