Concert Information
Concert Attendance
Attendance at every WHS Music Department concert is mandatory. Missing a concert will result in the loss of all attendance points. Students can then only achieve a maximum grade of a D in chorus for the quarter. Exceptions can be made for family emergencies. Unless otherwise stated by Ms. Nutting, all chorus members will be called two hours before the start of the concert to rehearse with the accompanist. Early is on time, and on time is late. Please arrive safely before call-time.
Concert Attire
Musical performances are professional events that should be a source of pride for our school and our students, therefore, concert attire of all black is required for all performances. Options for appropriate concert attire include the following:
Option 1: Black dress, opaque black tights/stockings, black dress shoes
Option 2: Black blouse, black dress pants or skirt with opaque black tights/stockings, black dress shoes
Option 3: Black, long-sleeve button-down shirt, black bow-tie, black dress pants, black socks, black dress shoes
Please keep the following in mind as you plan your concert outfit:
All dress and blouse necklines must be modest.
Blouses may have long or short sleeves; no spaghetti straps, halter tops, or tank tops; no colored trim or decoration; no cutouts
Dress and skirt lengths must be knee-length or longer.
All dress pants must be full in the leg; no leggings, jeans, or casual style pants.
Dress shoes must be closed-toe and appropriate for formal attire; no flip-flops, sandals, sneakers, or boots.
Heels on shoes should be low enough to walk and stand comfortably.
It is recommended that any jewelry worn be modest, nothing overtly sparkly, shiny, or large in size.
