MyCAP is a program at Walpole High School that seeks to empower to plan, develop, and explore career and post-secondary options. Through identification of interests and goals, MyCAP maps the academic plan, personal/social skill attainment, and career development activities required for postsecondary success. All students will leave their MyCAP seminars with artifacts and skills to succeed in the workplace or higher education.
In students' schedules, they will have MyCAP seminars during their fall or spring semester, along with a Counseling seminar. These seminars allow students to be the drivers of their education and connect their coursework with career interests or potential fields of study. MyCAP grants students the skills and artifacts to apply for different career development opportunities such as internships, apprenticeships, capstone projects, and to identify the personal, social, and behavioral skills needed to be successful in the workplace and/or higher education.
