At the most recent Walker County Board of Education meeting,

- Mr. Kevin Bond was recognized alongside Jonah Coker for completing a new lectern at the central office. They were also recognized for helping with feeder schools of LaFayette High School, the outdoor classroom at North LaFayette High School, and building the shadowboxes for the Rambler Greats to be showcased in the cafeteria hallway outside the Dan Priest Arena.

- Mrs. Melissa Rettig-Palmer was recognized for receiving The Georgia Association of Marine Education (GAME) Marine Educator of Year Award.

- LaFayette High School FBLA Regional Winners were recognized. Placing in first in the region were Braden Queen, Junior at LaFayette High School, competing in Computer Applications and Marley Jean Pierre and Nick Radtke, Juniors at LaFayette High School, competing in Sports and Entertainment Marketing (Team Event). Other members placing in the top ten at regionals included George Dong, senior at LaFayette High School, competing in Business Calculations and Jacy Baker, Junior at LaFayette High School, Competing in Business Communications.
