Charity has a passion for nature and is always seeking to learn more about plants and animals and how to be a better caretaker of the environment. With six years of experience teaching special education and five years of teaching Forest Kindergarten at Gilbert Elementary School in Lafayette Georgia, she loves inspiring children to learn. As a forest teacher, she is able to develop a love and compassion for nature and self growth within her students in ways that can not be taught in a traditional classroom. Being in nature has always given her a sense of wonder and empathy for the earth and she is so thankful to be able to facilitate the love of nature with the children that she teaches.

Rebekah is often found with muddy toes scouring through rocks in a creek bed or rock climbing the side of a mountain face while always in awe of the beauty the earth freely gives. She started her career in education at a Title I inner city public school in Chattanooga Tennessee. After teaching there for 3 years she felt a desire to seek out a school that valued her passion for outdoor education. Now in her fourth year at Gilbert, it is imperative to Rebekah that she instills in her students not only knowledge of the world around them but a deep respect for the earth and an understanding about how much it can teach us about ourselves and each other.
