French - Year 12 & 13

Why this course:  This course empowers students to become independent users of the French language. It strengthens the skills needed for success in tertiary study and in an increasingly global workforce. Through this course, students develop problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, mental flexibility, confidence and clarity in oral communication, and greater fluency in French.
Course information: This course deepens your French to a level of fluency, confidence and sophistication suitable for tertiary study, international exchanges and professional contexts. Students engage with listening, reading, speaking and writing in authentic situations, analysing extended texts from real-world sources and producing polished spoken and written work that expresses complex ideas. You will interact confidently in a range of formal, informal and cross-cultural scenarios, investigate francophone cultures and issues, and develop higher-order thinking skills such as critical analysis, problem-solving, flexibility of mind, linguistic creativity and independent research.
