This term we are studying fresh water. How much do we have? Where does it come from? How do we look after it? Where do we get our tap water from?

What are other rivers like? How do they compare to our Waitara awa? What problems are the same or do they have different problems? What are the countries like around those rivers. We will start in France where the river Seine is taking centre stage at the Olympics.
Do you have storm drains near your house? Do we have any close to our school? Do we have drains at our school? Let's go and check them out and see what we can find.
