What is I.F.?
Individualised Funding (I.F.) is a funding model that gives disabled individuals and their whānau more flexibility and control over how they receive support services.
✅ Choice & Control – You can choose who supports you, when, and how.
✅ Covers Two Main Services:
Home and Community Support Services – Includes help with household management (e.g., cleaning, meal prep) and personal care (e.g., dressing, bathing).
Respite Services – Supports carers by providing breaks through different respite options, including facility-based respite, Carer Support (funding for informal carers), and In-home support.
Where to go for help
If you have any questions about IF specific to your funding allocation, please talk to your host or
connector. They have all the information on your funding and are there to provide guidance and
advice.
If you have questions about your eligibility, please contact your local Need Assessment Services Coordinator.
Ask about the charges you incur for using their services. Each host has a service or admin fee, and this varies between host providers.
Your EGL connector can provide you with a comprehensive list of all host providers and, potentially, their associated service fees. They may also be able to help you.
