About Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent Enrollment is an agreement between Wagoner High School and a college or university allowing qualified students to enroll in college courses during their junior and/or senior years and receive both high school and college credit. To participate in Concurrent Enrollment, the student must attend the Concurrent Enrollment meeting assembled by the school counselors and meet the minimum GPA/ACT score requirements to obtain approval in a course. The student must also apply, be admitted, and enroll in courses through the college or university that is approved by the counselor. (Mrs. Luna has a sign up sheet for interested students and will hold a separate meeting to get students started on applying and enrolling for college courses in the next few weeks)
Things to know: Concurrent classes are not free. However, Tuition for up to 9 hours for Juniors and up to 18 hours for Seniors is waived by the Oklahoma State Board of Regents. Students and parents/guardians are responsible for any fees, textbooks, and/or supplies associated with their enrolled course. Out-of-pocket costs for each course is approximately $300. (*Students who are tribal citizens can apply for scholarships to help cover that cost through most tribes.)
