What is wedging? - Molding the clay in which to remove air bubbles because air bubbles explode when fired in the kiln. That means your art work explodes in the kiln.
When will you wedge clay? - We don't wedge in my class because clay cut from the box is already wedged. In a professional setting with making your own clay, you should wedge everytime you start.
How will you know when clay is wedged to use? - This is a process that requires A LOT of practice. Cutting the wedged clay in half will show you if you still have air bubbles or not.
