Chromebook Checkout Guide: Secure Your Learning Companion
Ready to unlock the power of a Chromebook for your learning journey? Follow these two simple steps to check one out:
Step 1: Master Digital Citizenship (5-10 minutes)
Before diving into the digital world, let's ensure responsible and respectful online behavior.
Completing the Digital Citizenship course equips you with the knowledge and skills to be a valuable citizen in the online community.
Here's how:
The "password-less link" to gain access is found in the inbox of your student email account.
(In the search bar type "KnowBe4" or "Digital Citizenship")
You will need to request a new link to be sent to you by entering your school email address.
Complete the interactive modules at your own pace, mastering key concepts like cyberbullying prevention, online safety, and responsible information sharing.
Upon completion, you'll receive on-screen confetti and an email stating you've completed the course. The two modules will show "completed".
Step 2: Submit a Chromebook Request Form (~1 minute)
Now that you're a digital citizen champion, let's claim your Chromebook!
Navigate to your Classlink app page.
Click on the icon that looks like this in order to access the "Student take-home Chromebook request form"
Fil out and complete the form
Review your submission and hit "Submit."
Congratulations! Your Chromebook request is officially submitted. You'll receive an email notification confirming your request and informing you of the next steps. Typically, these involve picking up your Chromebook at the designated location during specified hours.
