Students are provided an overview of small business operation/entrepreneurship. This overview includes learning about making key entrepreneurial decisions, specific skills for successful entrepreneurs, developing business plans, obtaining financing for a personal business, the logistics of business ownership, marketing a personal business, and human resource development.
This course takes students on a step-by-step journey through the world of marketing. Students encounter and learn about the key functions of marketing and how those functions are applied in the world of sports and entertainment.
This course is designed for junior and senior students who desire to learn about managing their finances through adulthood. There is a primary focus on student financial literacy. Through taking this course, students have the opportunity to earn MVCC Personal Finance credit, and a math credit towards graduation. Topics taught through this course include but are not limited to: personal financial planning, money management strategies, consumer credit, and other banking related topics.
