Kaltura Personal Capture

Kaltura Personal Capture is the improved version of Kaltura CaptureSpace, an easy to use video capturing tool from Kaltura which enables you to create webcam recordings, screen recordings, PowerPoint presentations and audio recordings. These recordings can also be combined into "multistream" videos.

Kaltura Personal Capture (also called Kaltura Capture) is a desktop recording application which is accessible in Canvas, e.g. by choosing My Media> Add New > Kaltura Capture. Kaltura Capture needs to be installed locally on your PC. Once you have downloaded the software, you can create videos and upload them easily to Kaltura. For this application to work, it needs to be downloaded and opened using the button Add New which you find in My Media but also on other pages, such as Media Gallery.

In this way, your use of the software is linked to your Canvas account, and you can easily create and upload videos to your Canvas courses.
