Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam offers flights to hundreds of destinations, and a 15-20 minute train ride from the airport takes visitors to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Trains run frequently throughout the day and night.

Amsterdam's public transportation system is includes trams, metro, buses, and ferries. The tram system has over a dozen lines covering most parts of the city, while the metro has four lines connecting different areas. You can use two websites for navigations: 9292 or ns.nl

To get to Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from Amsterdam Centraal, take metro line 51 or 52 towards Amsterdam Zuid and get off at Amsterdam Zuid station, then walk to the campus. Alternatively, take bus 346 from Zuid Station and get off at De Boelelaan. The trip takes around 25-30 minutes.
