Simona Botti is professor of Marketing at London Business School, where she was department chair from 2019 to 2023. Prior to joining LBS, she was an assistant professor at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, Cornell University. She received a BA from Bocconi University and an MBA and PhD from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Simona’s research focuses on the psychological processes underlying perceived personal control and how different ways of providing and exercising control influence consumer well-being. She received the 2022 AMA TechSIG-Lazaridis Prize, the 2012 JCR Best Article Award, and the 2007 and 2014 JCR Robert Ferber Award. She was selected for the MSI 2009 Young Scholar and 2018 Scholar programs. Simona teaches the Brand Management elective, the Strategic Branding executive-education course, and PhD seminars. She is currently an associate editor at Journal of Marketing and the Association for Consumer Research President Elect.
