National Spanish Honor Society

The SOCIEDAD HONORARIA HISPÁNICA is a prestigious nationwide organization established by high school educators to recognize students who have shown high scholastic achievement and enthusiasm in studying Spanish. In order to be considered for membership in this organization, the candidate must be a sophomore or higher, have completed two and a half years of Spanish, with an 87% or better average and must have earned an 87% total cumulative average (weighted).  The student must also have actively participated in cultural activities and shown interest in promoting cross cultural understanding.  To apply for acceptance in this society, a student must be a present member of a Spanish class as well as be enrolled in the next level of Spanish. The annual Spanish Honor Society induction is held in May.
