National Italian Honor Society
The National Italian Honor Society recognizes students in 10th, 11th and 12th grade who exemplify scholarship, service, leadership and character. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are initially considered for selection if they achieve a cumulative GPA of 87% or higher in Italian and cumulatively and have studied the language for at least two years. Students must continue to learn the language in subsequent years at VTHS. The annual National Italian Honor Society Induction is held in May.

Criteria for Membership
Criteria for Membership
Student must be in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
Student must have completed two Italian classes, with an 87% or better average and must have earned an 87% total cumulative average (weighted).
Student must have actively participated in cultural activities and shown interest in promoting cross cultural understanding.
Student must be currently enrolled in Italian class as well as be enrolled in the next level of Italian for the subsequent year.
