The Brandon: A Hub & Our Home Community Visit is a 3-month process that brings community members together to actively participate in examining issues, deciding top priorities, and developing action plans for the future of the town. The Vermont Council on Rural Development (VCRD) provides the overall structure and neutral facilitation each step of the way.
VCRD is committed to the facilitation of community processes that are inclusive, equitable, and bring together as many voices as possible in every community we work for. We strive to engage the voices, leadership, and decision-making of all community members in planning their town's future.
We invite all community members to participate through extensive outreach that includes a mailing to every resident, phone calls, flyers posted around town, outreach on local email platforms, social media, local TV and radio shows, lawn signs and banners, and through written and online surveys. Community members are encouraged to help spread the word and encourage friends and neighbors to participate at the next event on 6/25 by sharing the flyer, outreach language, Facebook Event, and word of mouth!
