Essex Junction
Essex Junction is a city in Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the population was 10,590. It was incorporated as a village on November 15, 1892. Essex Junction became Vermont’s 10th city on July 1, 2022. However, this is a dynamic city that is always changing. Neighborly charm is not limited to next-door interactions though. The upcoming walking area off of Five Corners, the new and delicious Boxcar Bakery, and Firebird's ingenious reworking of the old car shop into a bustling cafe right on the road are all prime examples. This bustling yet homey city was built on the Brickyard factory and Winooski River, which provided water, power, community events, and recreation.
