Dr. Tremayne “Trey” Waller joined Virginia Tech in September of 2018 as the Director of Graduate Student Programs in the College of Engineering. In his current role, Trey is responsible for recruitment and retention for the College of Engineering graduate programs. He will develop, lead and implement a strategic plan for graduate student success.
Before coming back to Virginia Tech, Trey was the Interim Director of Student Success Programs and Lecturer and Director of Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program. Trey earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2009 and a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Development in 1998. He has received several certificates in Race and Social Policy, Harold D. Craft Leadership Program, Supervisor Development, and Diversity Training Institute.
