Problem Statement

We want to create a management plan for the Mt. Alto Winery to be Greenhouse Gas (GHG) neutral in 10 years and negative in 30 years, while remaining profitable. As environmental problems become more serious to consumers, certain industries have began refocusing to a “triple bottom line” of not just profit, but also societal benefits and environmental stewardship1. Pre-planning a GHG emission schedule can make it both easier and cost-effective to be a responsible land manager while expanding the winery business
