The Child Labor in Virginia posters were completed as class projects in September 2021 by students enrolled in Introduction to Data in Social Context (HIST/STS/SOC 2604, Section 92100). Each group researched children depicted in photographs from the Child Labor Committee at the Library of Congress using employment statistics, census records, and maps to understand their lives in this historical context.
