This project explores the TransAmerica Bike Route 76 in Virginia in terms of community connections, public history, and recreational tourism. Project Director Tom Ewing is a professor of history at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, which is located about 3 miles south of Route 76 in Montgomery County.
