Students in 3rd hour worked on music to prepare for the Hero's Day performance in November. Students have also been working on a solo piece and have a playing assignment on their solo's due on Friday, November 3rd in the Google Classroom.
Hero's Day is Friday, November 10th - Students will perform for veterans and first responders on campus in the morning. They have been asked to wear nice clothes in Americana colors, such as red, white, or blue. We look forward to honoring these amazing community members!

The band room has a student teacher this semester! Nick Neuendorf is a senior at Webster University and is working towards his degree of Music Education. He will be working with all grade levels of band students throughout the 1st semester. This week he has led the concert band in their Armed Forces Medley. He worked with the symphonic band in learning a new piece for their concert season. He has also worked in small groups with students from the other classes.

Ms. Porter announced to the students that she is pregnant! She will be expecting a bundle of joy in early March 2024.
