This Year's Semester we were introduced to the school's driving question, " how can we make a world a better place?" But first, we have to learn about our class's driving question, " How can we design spaces to help better benefits our communities." In our first week of PBL class, we discuss about different communities, it can be ranged from people you know to absolute strangers. But these communities have something in common, which are problem that resides in it. imagine that you are with a group of friend, in the group, there might be some problem, like not communicating to each other. In class, we were divided into teams to figure out how to solve these problem. Like in my teams, we discuss about the problems that might be in a "friend" group. After a quick discussion, we figured that lack of communication was the main problem in a friend group. with the questions out of the way, we thought of five solutions to the problem.
End of class thoughts
The first week of PBL class has made me thought about the problem that could happen in my friend group, and the solutions to fix it.
Unit one: Me Space
In this unit, we focus about "our" space (Bedroom) in the house. We learnt about how to scale a room into a piece of paper, that way it's easier to plan a floor plan, and using the floor plan, we can rearrange "our" space (Bedroom) to be the way we liked, then we hand drew our rearranged floorplan and color scheme to a new piece of paper.

End of Unit 1
i think i did a good job on the redesign, after relocating the furnitures and using the color scheme to paint my walls, it gave me a lot of space to place more things and room for walking. Making the original old room into a completely new room. If i have a chance to redesign it again, i would somehow make more space for more room and add more things into the bedroom.
Unit Two: We Space
In this Unit, We redesign place for people we are familiar with, like our friends and families. My group chose a private meeting room in a library as the place to redesign. After having a group, we picked a random group of disabilities to brainstorm, "what can we do to benefit them", my team got the deaf people, so we search information of things that can help benefit deaf people in a library. After that, we present our findings to the whole class.
this is our final presentation that we presented at the end of unit 2
This is our 3d floorplan for our private meeting room, which help benefit deaf peoples
This is our mood board, here, we gather the furnitures we need and how it benefits blind people, and the color scheme we use for the meeting room.
End of Unit 2
We did a pretty nice job of redesigning the meeting room for deaf people, we have comfortable bean bags, a TV to show the deaf when an emergency happened , Plants for nature and much more, the color scheme is a very chill color for reading. Overall, it's a good redesign for a private meeting room. If we can do it again, i could add more stuff that can alert deaf people.
Unit Three: Exhibition Project
In this unit, we are finally going to help redesign public spaces, we were split into groups in order to make this work, I teamed up with Russell, Rain, Evan and Mason, and we decided that we are gonna redesign our school gym, we searched some information about how can we redesign it and what SGDs are suitable for our project, then we made a diorama to help other people see what we redesign.
Our Poster for Exhibition
Our Mood Board
Our Interactive Element
Our Floor plan
Mock Exhibition
For Mock Exhibition, it wasn't so great, I was stuttering a lot when explaining our problems and solutions for our school gym. But still, it's an experience to remind us that we need to keep working on our presenting skills and our poorly made diorama, I hope that when we're at the real exhibition, we won't have the same results as Mock Exhibition
End of Unit 3
we did ok since this was our first time making a diorama , since we didn't know what to build, but with teamwork, we actually did a good job on doing the poster and the interactive element. Overall, it's not that great since our teamwork isn't that good, if I could add something that could help, I will try and make the 3D diorama stand out and show our creativity and the solution for disabled people, so that we can make a world a better place.
