Sea levels is rising more fast than before, and scientists say the ocean now is about three inches higher than thirty years ago, and it keep getting faster. This happen because the Earth is getting more hot, so big ice from Greenland and Antarctica melt and go into the ocean. Also, when the ocean water get warmer, it expand and take more space. This make big problem for many cities near the coast because they will have more flood. To fix this, we should not let the world warm too much by burn less oil and coal, and use more sun and wind power. We also need to build walls and use natural barrier like mangroves to protect the coast. It is not too late to change, but we must act now.
In this homework, I have learned that rising sea levels are a major issue and this is due to global warming. In fact, the topic of ice melt and warmer ocean waters and how this can impact cities close to coastlines is something that I understand better now. As a person writing, my attempt is to put ideas in a proper way, although there are a lot of grammar errors in this homework and my expressions are not smooth. In fact, this homework allows me to improve my writing skills in English.
