I learned how fear and betrayal affected people’s lives during the White Terror. Even small choices, like speaking or staying silent, could decide life or death. This showed me the importance of justice and fair laws. I helped design the story paths and endings, showing how choices lead to survival or betrayal, and linked the game to real history.
This is our 1 game outline. This game is about human rights, and we use white terror as an example to show how the government treated humans in such an unfair and bad way.
This is our outline 2. Through this project, I improved my ability to plan stories and organize ideas clearly. I learned how to build meaningful choices in a game and connect them to real-life themes about culture and identity. Working with my team helped me practice communication and creative thinking. I also developed stronger perspective-taking skills by understanding how people from different backgrounds face challenges and make choices.
This is our game outline 3. Through this project, I understand more about different migrants. For example, migrants can be split into 2 different kinds. Forced and voluntary, people could leave their own hometown and work in a different country because of better opportunities, and those who were forced to leave might because of war and political reasons. I think we need to improve a lot on this outline; it's not organized. Overall, it's not a good outline for me. I hope I can improve on the final outline.
I learn a lot from this affinity diagram because on this assignment, we can know how different people think about our game, and we can also know what we can improve in order to make our game better. The most important part for me is that I realize that the game is a bit short, and the game's ending is confusing.
This is our final outline. We are making a game that is about white terror. It's a 2D choice game that players can experience and feel the fear during the white terror. I think this outline is our best outline; we really put an effort into it. I hope that in the future, our game can be successfully developed and playable during the exhibition. Also we contribute a lot to this outline. For my role, I focus a lot on my research and sources.
This is our game; it's about white terror. In the first three weeks, since we were not familiar with each other, it was tough to work together and communicate effectively. But after a few weeks, we started to work together, and we became familiar with each other. So we made our final game, and my role is to make up the game. We chose to use Scratch to make our game because our team had learn Scratch before, so for us it's easier to finish our game in Scratch. If I could redo this game, one thing that we need to improve is our time management. If we could start our game much earlier, we could make the game perfect.
I would like to stick with social advocacy. I think it's really fun to research history, and help people to fight against unfair laws.
