During this week you have met many historical figures from Britain's history. Kings, Queens, Shakespeare, his characters and even famous criminals!
Choose a person that has left an impression on you and create a meme to express an idea, thought or fact that you have learned about them. You can use your own tools or a meme generator such as imgflip.com or other applications such as Canva. The meme must be original (i.e. not from Google!).
I have added some example memes below for inspiration:
King Henry VIII had multiple marriages.
Sweeney Todd was a charming serial killer.
Guy Fawkes: A Terrorist to some, a Revolutionary to others.
It was difficult being single in London in the 1800s...
Alternatively, choose a key moment from the play Othello and create a meme to express your feelings about it. An example of such scenes could be, when:
Brabantio discovers that Desdemona has married Othello against his wishes.
Brabantio accuses Othello of stealing his daughter by witchcraft.
Othello charms the duke and the senate.
Iago is jealous because Cassio is promoted to lieutenant instead of him.
Iago tells the audience of his wicked plans.
Iago convinces Othello of Desdemona and Cassio's affair
Othello's jealousy of Desdemona and Cassio.
Desdemona is completely unaware of the plotting going on around her.
Othello kills Desdemona.
Othello realises his mistake.
Everyone dies.
Get creative as you dive into the personalities of your historical celebrity and give your designs some "meme-ing" ;). Upload your memes to the chat to entertain your companions and then the the classroom.
There will be a prize for the most insightful and original meme!
