Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners

The Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP) is the statewide professional association for all nurse practitioners licensed in Virginia. VCNP’s goals include increasing the awareness and impact of NPs on health care and the professional, educational and political systems; fostering professional and collegial growth through continuing education; facilitating the advancement of the NP role as an integral component of quality health care delivery; and providing opportunities for NPs to connect across Virginia. VCNP serves its more than 1,700 members through 12 regional councils.
