"Hispanic Migration in Literature and Visual Arts" is a higher-level undergraduate course aimed at introducing students to the fundamental principles of analysis and interpretation of cultural studies in its traditional and experimental forms, from the point of view of content, style and technique. Throughout the course, students will become familiar with different types of artistic, literary, and visual products from the Hispanic world (Caribbean, Latin America, Spain, Latinx communities in the US) and will have the opportunity to meet international experts from the UK, Belgium, and the US who will discuss topics related to Hispanic migration. The course, focused on the cultural manifestations of enforced and spontaneous migratory dynamics, is divided into five didactic units: narrative, theater, poetry, experimental literature, visual arts. At the end of the course, students will share a presentation and publish an academic essay on the collaborative website of the course.
