Ms. Walker - Advanced Graphic Design

Recently, we have been learning all about signs, symbols, and how to recognize them. To get the students comfortable with the topic we created minimal movie posters. The students had to pick three movies they loved and redesign each of them. From there, they picked their favorite one and posted them in the hallway where we created our very own gallery.

Mr. Watts — Algebra II

This week in Algebra 2. We will discuss Expressions, factoring and Equations with rational expressions on Monday. We will also begin practicing on these throughout the week. The past week we had our first test of the school year. Testing over linear equations and absolute value. Everyone is on track and has gained understanding. I cannot be more proud of them as a whole.

Ms. CarterPhysics/Engineering

This week in Physics, we are mastering our skills with Motion Graphs.

In Engineering on Thursday, we will meet with Mr. Scott Stegner, a retired VP and engineer at Schneider Electric. He will discuss some of his international projects and the resources commercial buildings need.

Mr. HensonEnglish III

This week we will continue to work toward understanding rhetorical situation as well as maintaining an understanding of current events. We use these articles to reinforce the topics we study in a real-world type of scenario.

Mr. StewartUnited States History

This week we discussed the growth of cities and the rise of the "robber baron". Next week, we are going to look at political corruption, such as Tammany Hall, as well as the wave of immigrants to the United States in the late 19th Century.
