Event Summary

  • The suggested group collaboration time for this event is Saturday, March 6 at 11 a.m. This is optional and is up to individual families and/or schools to coordinate.

  • Allow about 1 hour to complete this event, which includes getting out the materials, reading the directions or watching the launch video, planning for 2 minutes, building and testing for 30 minutes, final tests and measuring, and submitting online.

  • Results must be submitted by Saturday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m.

  • Girls may collaborate with any other participants from their school from the same division or they may work alone. Schools may choose to organize this.

  • The time limit for this event will be 2 minutes for planning/design followed by 30 minutes for build/design, which begin immediatedly after watching the launch video or reading the provided directions sheet. Allow additional time for watching launch video or reading detailed instructions and measuring.

  • The detailed instructions, launch video, and results Google form for this event will be included in the Digital Tournament Package which will be delivered to registered participants by email, Friday, March 5 at 5:00 p.m.

  • The required Building Kit of supplies will be provided at the drive-by pick-up for registered participants. Additional supplies needed are scissors and a measuring tape (or yardstick) that measures in inches.

  • This event is the same challenge for participants at all grade levels.
