🍁 Middle of Year:  Level O

• What it looks like: Reading fluently and independently for extended periods of time. Books feature diverse characters, deep themes, and advanced vocabulary.

🎓 End of Year:   Levels P-Q

• What it looks like: These books feature longer chapters, more complex plots, feature text with smaller fonts, fewer illustrations, and deeper conceptual themes.  Sentences are complex with introductory clauses. Vocabulary includes idiomatic expressions, regional dialects, and technical terminology.

• Key Skills:   Decode using context clues, make inferences about character motives, tracking subplots, analyze character reasoning, compare multiple texts, and summarize non-fiction main ideas with supporting details.
