As the team leader and initiator, I this project of designing the temperature-controlled cabin using semiconductor chilling plate based on solar energy in order to save electricity under the guidance of Professor Yaling He, who is the academician of Chinese Academy of Science. We first designed the cabin using solar energy and phase change energy storage materials to save the electricity. We designed and conducted experiments to verify and validate its power-saving and heat transfer properties by comparing with the numerical simulation result. Later on, the parameters of the cabin were modified to enhance the energy efficiency.
