Accountable Talk in Math

Using Web 2.0 Tools to Promote Accountable Talk in Math

As teachers, we realize that students are immersed in various forms of online technology (blogs, google apps) and we want to tap into the time students have already invested in using technology at home. The focus of the session would be using Web 2.0 Tools such as blogs to promote accountable math talk. By creating an online class community, students have an audience beyond the classroom walls, co-constructing knowledge, and making & developing connections to their own learning within a flipped classroom environment.
