Ramadan Clothing Drive for families in need - April 2022

With the blessings of Allah a total of around $1500 was raised to execute this project which helped deliver brand new clothing to families in need which comprised of widows and orphans. With the left over amount we were also able to purchase a laptop for a single mom in need who aspires to make a living to support herself and her children. We pray to Allah to Accept this from all of us in this month of Mercy and weigh it heavy on our scales of the Akhira, Ameen!

Laptops for families in need - February 2022

MashaAllah with the help of the duas and donations from the community as well as generous contributions from Angel Aid Foundation , YYCG has purchased three Laptops and an iphone for four families! Alhumdolilah!

Mattresses for a family in need - October 2021

Thank you for your generous support in helping us raise funds to purchase mattresses for a sister in need! She had a horrible experience with mattresses that were donated to her by someone else which caused one of her children an insect bite that sent her into emergency and a critical state of health.

Ahumdolilah with the help of our wonderful community YYCG is now able to provide her with brand new mattresses!

October 2021 Resume Event

YYCGenerosity has partnered with Akram Jomaa and the SW Masjid to deliver a workshop in interview skills. MashaAllah the workshop gathered a lot of interest and many of you have asked us for more workshops which our team will plan out for the future with our community Masajid.

Eid Al Adha 2021

Alhumdolilah once again YYCGenerosity sucessfully partnered with Akram Jomaa, the SW Masjid and our amazing commuunity to provide meat from this Eid Al Adha to community members in need.

March 2021 Resume Event

YYCGenerosity has partnered with Akram Jomaa and the SW Masjid to bring the entire community a resume workshop to help everyone give their resume a makeover to get that job!

All workshop attendees got a special giveaway package to further assist them in their job search.

Laptops for Families in need - December 2020 / January 2021

Thank you for your generous support in helping us raise funds to purchase 5 laptops for families in need!

Each Laptop was hand delivered by our volunteers Alhumdolilah and the families are using them for their children's education.

Eid Al Adha 2020

With sacrificial meat portions coming in from individuals and families to all the meat portions you requested our donation bin locations MashaAllah we were able to give generous amounts of meat to families who rarely every get to enjoy meat.

All the donors who signed up with us and sorted, packaged, and froze the meat packages felt super happy about the hands on approach!

YYCGenerosity sorted all the Eid Meat donations from our two halal meat store partners, packaged and froze each portion and distributed to over 30 families across Calgary!

We also thank Human Concern International for their community support! YYCG teamed up with Human Concern International to distribute the generous Eid gift of prepaid VISA gift cards from HCI with the meat packages.

August 2020 - Washing Machine and Laptops for the SW Masjid

Thank you Calgary! Our Masjid asked and we delivered Alhumdolilah. With your help and generous donations we were able to purchase a much needed brand new washing machine and 2 laptops for the SW Masjid all during the blessed first 10 days of Dhul Hajj - major reward accumulated here Alhumolilah!

Our volunteers hand delivered the laptops and were present for the washing machine delivery.
