Previously owned by Meredith Woodlief who was merchant and Postmaster.  Lot was purchased from John Young, Jr. 1881. 

White warehouse to the right formerly Wiggins Agriculture Supply Company. This location was the former location of Woodlief Store and John Mitchell Store.

The Winslow Building (building farthest back in this picture) is the original sight of 

the "Eagle Tobacco Warehouse" (Established 1896) 

Built by Perry & Patterson  and later "The Woodlief Store"

(a farm supply store), established by William Maurice Woodlief.

 Founded by Will C. Young, manufactured high grade sodas and fountain syrups Home of "My-Coca, Cherry Cheer, etc."

Originally the "Timberlake Drug Store" 

(Built 1909-1910)

The former home of "Mrs. R.J. Hart's Soda Shop" then 

the "Village Restaurant" and became

"Griffin's Restaurant" Est. 1985,

The Reverend C. A. Jenkins originally organized the church May 1880 with 9 members, and it grew to 17 members by 1881. Since April 2000 the Reverend Charles D. Stratton, Jr. has lead the faithful in the service of God and community.
