This research project was designed to explore and support the well-being of students in Grade 5, specifically targeting children aged 9 to 10 years. The sample size included a focused group of learners within this age bracket, allowing for a more personalized and age-appropriate approach to analysis and intervention.
Students were encouraged to engage in reflective practices by assessing themselves on these five parameters. Using a structured format, both pre- and post-intervention self-assessments were conducted. The initial assessment served to help students recognize their current state across the identified areas, while the follow-up assessment offered insights into the growth and progress they had made following the intervention sessions. This process not only promoted self-awareness but also empowered the students to take an active role in their own personal development.
Before any intervention, students engaged in self-assessment across five key parameters, selecting responses that best reflected their perspectives.
After the intervention, students participated in a self-assessment across five key parameters, selecting responses that best reflected their personal growth and perspectives.
Descriptive report for pre-assessment and post-assessment
Pre-assessment is a baseline evaluation that identifies students’ initial strengths and challenges before starting the intervention. In this project, the pre-assessment provided a baseline to measure growth and the impact of the Yog-Art intervention.
Post-assessment is an evaluation conducted after the intervention to measure students' progress and the impact of the strategies applied. verall, the post-assessment highlighted meaningful growth in students' physical, emotional, and social well-being following the intervention.
Comparative Analysis - The collected data presents a clear comparison of student progress across the five key well-being parameters. It highlights where students initially stood and the growth they achieved after the intervention, showcasing measurable improvements in their physical, emotional, and social development.
The pre- and post-assessment comparison highlighted significant growth in students' overall well-being.
Initially, students faced challenges such as anxiety, low focus, emotional reactivity, and difficulty in peer relationships. After the intervention, the post-assessment showed improved energy levels, reduced anxiety, better emotional regulation, increased confidence, and stronger social interactions.
These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of the Yog-Art approach in promoting holistic well-being and personal growth among students.
