The goal of this project is to assess the relative use of different host fishes by Yellow Lampmussel based on natural infection in the wild. Fish with glochidia infestations will be collected from waterbodies spanning the YLM range and mussel species will be identified using DNA amplicon sequencing. Any differences in the relative importance of YLM hosts across the range may have important implications for management and restoration efforts.
