As a passionate psychology graduate student, I have had the enriching opportunity to serve as a teaching assistant for a range of undergraduate courses, including Research Methods I & II, and Social Psychology, and independent instructor for Social Psychology Lab. My role has been multifaceted, encompassing giving lectures, designing assignments and grading independently, providing detailed and constructive feedback on assignments, conducting office hours to address students' learning challenges, and offering practical support in R Studio. Beyond these tasks, my contributions have extended to assisting in exam and assignment creation, developing rubrics, and managing the logistics of large classes, notably those with enrollments of 150 students. My engagement with teaching also includes delivering guest lectures on diverse topics such as Attitudes, Behaviors, and Persuasion; Liking and Loving; and the intricacies of variables in psychological research.
Committed to fostering the next generation of scholars, I also mentor undergraduate research assistants, guiding them through every step of the academic journey—from conducting experiments and presenting at regional conferences, to navigating the complex paths of graduate school applications.
As a lifelong learner myself, I commit to staying updated with evidence-based teaching strategies and emerging technologies, such as AI. I actively participate in relevant discussions and maintain open communication with students about sensitive topics.
I am passionate about working with students because I believe in the transformative power of education and mentorship. By instilling curiosity, critical thinking, and research skills, I hope to empower students to achieve their goals and make a positive impact on the world, whether in their personal or professional lives. My goal is to guide them in becoming lifelong learners as well who can adapt to a rapidly changing world and contribute to the field of psychology.
