Development of High Reliability Motor Drives for Next Generation Propulsion Applications (01/03/2020 - 29/02/2024). The DORNA action is a 4-year research focused training program. It aims to forma coherent Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) network so as to address technical challenges facing the electrifying transport industry, with a focus on high-reliability electrical traction drives. This project is funded by the European Commission through the H2020-MSCA-RISE program. My responsibility includes project management and the project is coordinated by Aston University.
New Electrically Driven Steam Methane Reforming technology for methanol production (01/08/2019 - 30/09/2023). The novel eSMR-MeOH technology is a prospective solution for production of sustainable methanol at cost competitive prices. The novel new electrically driven steam methane reforming technology (eSMR) is compact and has a low capital investment. In this project, the eSMR-MeOH technology will be demonstrated. This project is funded by the Energistyrelsen of Denmark through the EUDP program.
Fungal Batteries for Storing Sustainable Energy (01/04/2019 - 31/03/2022). The FungalBat project is funded by the Novo Nordisk Fonden. In Denmark, cost-efficient energy storage solutions are needed for full exploitation of the potential of wind turbine energy. This project aims to generate a prototype “all fungal quinone-quinone flow battery” and elucidate the potential of such a solution in full-scale production systems.
Reliable Power Electronics based Power Systems (01/08/2017 - 31/07/2023). The project - REPEPS is funded by THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS (Villum Investigator, awarded to Prof. Frede Blaabjerg). It is dedicated to tackle and address the issues of power electronics based power systems in terms of reliability and efficiency.
Wind Engineering Skills in Egypt and Tunisia (12/2017 - 12/2020). The WESET project is supported by the Erasmus + Program, Key Action 2, Capacity Building in Higher Education. It supports the modernization, development and internationalization strategy of the partner Egyptian and Tunisian Institutions, aligning Master degrees with the needs of Industry and the Society, and creating links with European institutions.
