Ein Gweledigaeth ar gyfer dysgwyr ag ADY - Our vision and mission statement for pupils with ALN
Yn YGG Castellau, ein nod yw sicrhau fod pob plentyn yn gwneud cynnydd da a chyrraedd eu llawn potensial. Caiff bob plentyn mynediad at gwricwlwm eang a phwrpasol, gyda chyfle cyfartal i bob unigolyn, boed unrhyw anghenion dysgu ychwanegol sydd ganddynt. Trwy gydweithio mewn a chyda asiantaethau allanol, a datblygiad proffesiynnol parhaus, ymfalchiwn ein bod yn adnabod ein dysgwyr fel unigolion, er mwyn gallu cynllunio profiadau pwrpasol iddynt a darparu addysg o’r safon uchaf. Deallwn bwrpas asesu meintiol, systematig ac amrywiol wrth wneud hyn. Credwn yn gryf y dylwn ddatblygu hyder a sgiliau cymdeithasol unigolion ag ADY gyda’r un pwrpas a’u datblygiad academaidd, er mwyn sicrhau fod ganddynt y sgiliau sydd angen er mwyn gallu bod yn uchelgeisiol am eu dyfodol. Mae dathlu llwyddianau’n hollbwysig er mwyn cyflawni hyn. Cytunwn y dylai dysgwyr ADY fod yn ganolig i’w haddysg unigol nhw, gyda’i lleisiau’n yn glir wrth drafod, cynllunio a gwerthuso unrhyw gefnogaeth ychwanegol a rhoddir yn ei le. Anelwn i gefnogi teuluoedd dysgwyr ADY ym mhob ffordd y gallwn, a’u cynnwys yn llawn yn y broses o sicrhau fod eu plant yn llwyddo.
At YGG Castellau, our aim is to ensure that all children make good progress and reach their full potential. All children will have access to a broad and purposeful curriculum, with equal opportunity for all individuals, including those pupils with additional learning needs. By working together and with external agencies, and continuing professional development, we pride ourselves on knowing our learners as individuals, so that we can plan bespoke experiences for them and provide the highest quality education. We understand the purpose of quantitative, systematic and variable assessment in doing this. We firmly believe that we should develop the confidence and social skills of individuals with ALN with the same purpose as their academic development, to ensure that they have the skills needed to be ambitious for their future. Celebrating success is crucial to achieving this. We agree that ALN learners should be at the center of their individual education, with their voices clear when discussing, planning and evaluating any additional support put in place. We aim to support the families of ALN learners in every way we can, and fully involve them in the process of ensuring their children succeed.
Deddf ADY 2021 - The 2021 ALN Act
O fis Medi 2021, daeth y Ddeddf ADY i rym, sy'n newid ac yn adeiladu ar y ffordd y adnabyddwn, cynlluniwn a chefnogwn dysgwyr ag ADY. Bydd yr ysgol, fel rhan o'n prosesau asesu parhaol, yn ystyried os oes gan blentyn ADY trwy gyfeirio at y criteria yma o'r Ddeddf:
Oes gan blentyn anhawster dysgu a/neu anabledd a sy'n sylweddol wrth gymharu a'i c/gyfoedion sy'n achosi rhwystr iddynt rhag gwneud cynnydd disgwyliedig?
Oes angen darpariaeth ar y plentyn sy'n wahanol i a/neu'n ychwanegol i'r hyn sydd ar gael i weddill y disgyblion?
Mae gan yr ysgol Panel ADY, sy'n cynnwys aelodau o'r Corff Llywodraethol, sy'n trafod os yw dysgwyr yn bodloni'r uchod ac os oes angen trefnu Cynllun Datblygiad Unigol (CDU) iddynt. Caiff rhieni/warchodwyr eu hysbysu yn fuan wedyn er mwyn iddynt hwy (a'r plentyn) i ddod yn rhan hanfodol o'r broses. Caiff rhieni/warchodwyr wneud cais i'r ysgol asesu eu plentyn yn uniongyrchol er mwyn dod at benderfyniad os oes angen CDU. Lle nad yw rhieni/warchodwyr yn cytuno gyda'r penderfyniad, mae yna broses apelio at yr Awdurdod Leol. Mae'r wybodaeth ynglyn a sut i wneud hyn ar gael o'r ysgol.
Bydd CDU dysgwr yn cynnwys yr holl wybodaeth sydd gan wahanol rhanddeiliaid er mwyn gallu cynllunio a nodi'r gefnogaeth bydd yn ei le ar gyfer cefnogi ADY'r dysgwr. Bydd llais y plentyn yn ganolog i'r broses hon trwyddi draw, a defnyddiwn strategaethau person-ganolog yn ein gweithdrefnau. Mae CDU yn ddogfen statudol a chaiff ei hadnewyddu'n rheolaidd, gyda'r holl rhanddeiliaid perthansol (yn cynnwys asiantaethau allanol, lle'n briodol) a chyfrifoldeb dros ymgymryd gyda'r broses. Rydym wastad yn hapus i drafod y broses hon, neu gweithdrefnau ADY yn cyffredinol gydag unrhyw rhiant/warchodwr - cysylltwch gyda'r ALNCo (Mrs Clare Griffiths), Y Pennaeth (Mr. Daniel Jones) neu'r Dirprwy (Mrs. Rhian Morris) os ydych am wneud hyn.
From September 2021, the ALN Act has come into force, which changes and developes on the way we identify, plan and support learners with ALN. As part of our ongoing assessment processes, the school will consider whether a child has ALN by reference to the following criteria of the Act:
Does the child have a difficulty in learning and/or a disability that is significant compared to his / her peers and that is hindering them from making expected progress?
Does the child need provision that is different from and / or additional to that available to the rest of the pupils?
The school has an ALN Panel, which includes members of the Governing Body, which discusses whether learners meet the above criteria and whether an Individual Development Plan (IDP) needs to be put in place for them. Parents / guardians are informed shortly afterwards so that they (and the child) can become an integral part of this process. Parents / guardians may apply to the school to assess their child directly in order to reach a decision if an IDP is required. Where parents / guardians do not agree with the decision, there is an appeal process to the Local Authority. Information on how to do this is available from the school.
A learner's IDP will include all the information held by different stakeholders that is needed in order to plan and identify the support that will be in place to support the learner's ALN. The views of the child will be central to this process throughout, and we use person centered planning strategies in our procedures. An IDP is a statutory document and is regularly updated, with all relevant stakeholders (including external agencies, where appropriate) part of this process. We are always happy to discuss this process, or ALN procedures generally with any parent / guardian - please contact the ALNCo (Mrs Clare Griffiths), the Headteacher (Mr. Daniel Jones) or the Deputy (Mrs. Rhian Morris) if you would like any further information and support.
