Bob Kane and Bill Finger worked hard to conceive a superhero that had the perfect mix of brains and brawn. The Batman originally was a detective, and it wasn't until 2015 that Bill Finger was given any credit for the creative writing he did to make one of the most famous and recognizable superheroes. Batman was created for DC (Detective Comics) in 1939 following the success of Superman and continues to be a fan favorite today.

Today, Spider-Man IP (Intellectual Property) is worth over 29 Billion Dollars and is 84 years old.
Spider-Man is owned by DC Comics with partial ownership given to the Finger estate in 2015. DC Comics is owned by Warner Bros. and HBO has liscense to stream any and all DC Material.
In 10 years, the very first batman comic will be in the public domain, which means it will be released from copyright and the IP can be used by anyone.
There are 8,436 Batman Comics in existence.
