2nd March,2015: Drugs Free Haryana Youth Awareness Work Shop at Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Narnaund, District Hisar, Haryana
YARI has organized its First youth awareness and sensitization work shop and launched a Drugs Free Haryana Project to make the state Drugs Free focusing on youth. During this program, approximately 2000 people participated which includes youth, school children, women & elders. Ranbir Singh Lohan (Drugs Free Haryana Project’s Volunteer In-charge and youth Ambassador) has delivered an awareness generation lecture and information to all the participants and motivated them to not to use drugs and alcohol in their life. Some Drugs and Alcohol related facts and figures related to incidents of deaths, disabilities, financial losses, relationship problems, divorces, separations, school drop outs and indulgence of criminal activities and other Psychological, Biological, Social- Cultural and Spiritual consequences have been shared with the participants. In this program, 4 schools with their teachers, children, their parents, some social workers, Rural Women, Mahila Walfare Society – NGO, All India Jaat Mahasabha – A Social Organization since 1907, Arya Samaj Youth Group and other Social- Religious organizations have participated. Few volunteers from the community have been created for this project.

Sh. Yudhbir Singh – General Secratery, All India Jaat Mahasabha, India
Sh. Om Parkash Maan – President All India Jaat Mahasabha, Haryana Chapter
Principal of Govt. Sr. Sec. School Narnaund, Dist Hisar
All these prestigious people also shared their experiences with the participants and motivated youth against Drugs. Especially SMt. Sudesh Choudhary, who motivated a lot of girls and women during this programs and some rural women had prepared some songs on Anti-Drugs. These Rural women have sung those songs on anti-drugs and danced on it to spread positive message to the general public.
A special Oath were taken by 2000 participants for not using drugs performed during the event.
At the end, all the participants had a mass awareness rally against drugs in Narnaund and they walked for 5 kms with anti-drugs slogan, banners, and educational flyers with them. Approximately 10,000 flyers have been distributed during this program in Narnaund village and surrounding villages. Some community meetings for the invitations for this program has been done by Sh. Ranbir Singh Lohan before the work shop. In total, approximately 20,000 people have been sensitized during the entire program including newspaper-media (electronic & print) coverage, flyers distribution, small community meetings at village level, through social media and other mouth-to mouth message spreading. Overall it was a great success to organize such kind of Social event by YARI.

5th April, 2015 : Free Cancer Health Check camp organized in Koth –kallan (Khurd) in Hissar district from 9:00am to 12:00pm
YARI has organized a Free Cancer Health check-up camp in association with Jindal Cancer Research Center and Hospital, Hisar, Mahila Walfare Society, Haryana, All India Jaat Mahasabha, and Arya Samaj Group of Koth Village under the leadership of Ranbir Singh Lohan (An Appointed Youth Ambassador of YARI). During this camp, approximately 50 people including rural women, Elders and children participated who actually got checked by the Cancer specialist Doctors. Doctors explained the attendees about the reasons of different types of cancers and safety precautions. Some self-help techniques were told about cancers in men and women by the doctors.
Activities performed during and before this Health Camp:
Small group meetings in various nearby villages regarding invitation for the camp
covering approximately 2500 people by Ranbir Singh Lohan.
A decorated auto- vehicle with big sings and flyers about Free Cancer health check
up camp drove in the neighboring villages. Approximately 7-8 villages were covered and 5000 flyers were distributed about cancer related awareness. A message through this vehicle has been delivered to more than 10000 people.
A press conference also organized to spread message before and during the health camp and all the major newspapers and TV covered the social event.
Cancer Innervation and Prevention Techniques have been told to the participants during the health camp.
A lot of Cancer related early signs and symptoms have been identified among people during the camp and referred them further investigation and treatment by the doctors.
All the activities like newspapers coverage, pictures during camp, community interactions were recorded physically. Overall it was a great success. Villagers really appreciated this program done by YARI.
